Getting Started with Your GREI COA Card

Learn how to verify an item, review ownership status, register first-time ownership, and transfer a GREI COA card.

Verify Your Item

By receiving the COA Card, your item has already been authenticated and verified within the GREI registry.

Scan the QR code on the COA Card or enter the SN Number at GREI.com to view the item's record and verify that it is active within the registry.

No account or registration is required to verify an item.

Ownership Status

The record will display one of the following:

  • Ownership Not Registered
  • Registered Owner

First-Time Ownership Registration

If the item shows Ownership Not Registered, the PIN Code printed on the back of the COA Card may be used to register the first owner.

A one-time $15 Digital Ownership Activation Fee applies.

Ownership Transfer

If the item already has a Registered Owner, ownership can only be transferred by the current registered owner.

The current owner must initiate the transfer through the GREI system before ownership can be updated.

Claiming the GREI COA right is free. A discounted Registry Update Fee applies before the claim deadline, and the standard Registry Update Fee applies afterward.

Important

  • Keep the PIN Code secure and do not share it with others.
  • Once ownership has been registered, the PIN Code is permanently deactivated and can no longer be used.
